The Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship will be held from the 24th to 28th July 2017 on Amendoeira Golf Resort's world class golf courses in the Algarve region of Portugal. With two fantastic golf courses, an incredible clubhouse and accommodation on site the event could not be more fun, organized and relaxing for our golfing families.
This event allows boys and girls, ages 7 to 18 an opportunity to showcase their skills and advance in the game. The child's age on June 30th 2017 will determine their entry category.

Handicap and scoring requirements are in place only to help serve as a guideline as to whether or not a child is ready to play. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age category by gender.

This tournament is open to all children with divisions determined by age and gender.
Handicaps will be officially accountable both nationally and internationally and categories under 18 will earn points to the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
Girls & Boys
If the player does not carry a current handicap index he/she may provide a record of recent scores attested by a PGA/LPGA professional (minimum of 5 scores).
Children aged 8 and under are required to take a caddy. Older players are not required but encouraged to have a caddy. Players 17 years old and over are not allowed to have caddies. Caddies are not provided by the golf club, please feel free to make your own arrangements.
The entry fee includes 4 rounds of golf (including one practice round on the day prior to the start of the tournament), tee prizes, tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies and buffet lunch for three days. (Additional tickets for opening and closing dinners may be purchased in advance).
Tickets purchased when confirming entry will benefit from 10% discount.
Entry fees range from €125 to €270. Please refer to the website for exact entry information.
In summary, boys and girls aged 10 to 18 will play 18 holes/day; boys and girls aged 9 and under will play 9 holes/day.
The dress code for the event is proper golf attire.
Shoes must be soft spikes or spikeless golf shoes (trainers are not allowed on the golf course).
Shirts must have collars and no denim is allowed. Gentlemen and boys may wear trousers or Bermuda style shorts. Ladies and girls may wear sleeveless tops but they must have a collar. Golf trousers, capris, shorts and skirts are acceptable but shorts and skirts must not be too short. Tournament officials reserve the right to determine appropriate attire.

One adult and one junior.
Please check in at the Amendoeira Golf Resort Clubhouse Reception. You will be given a scorecard and taken to the Oceanico Academy course. Rental clubs are available if you did not bring your own.
Winners will be announced during the Tournament's Prize Giving Ceremony on July 28th.
